Aled Davies or ‘SingBear’ is a dynamic performer from the UK best known for his lyrical tenor voice and spectacular musical diversity. Born December 1978 in Wales Aled carries on the tradition of singing associated with his homeland and proves the Welsh are among the best singers in the world.
Aled’s road to becoming a singer began at college where he decided to join a male voice choir, quickly he was recognised as having potential and at the age of 17 began performing as a soloist around south Wales. In 1997 Aled took vocal coaching and started to develop his voice, moving to live in mid Wales Aled began singing at weddings and other social events which was the start of his journey into the music industry.
Moving on several years and many gigs later Aled landed his own TV show on Wales’ S4C (welsh language channel) the show was co-hosted by Aled Jones of ‘Songs of Praise’ and ‘Walking in the Air’ fame and was a massive successes, this catapulted Aled into the lime light and for a period of 3 years Aled was a regular guest on many light entertainment TV programmes and BBC radio Wales.
After a period of writing and recording original material in the Welsh language Aled took to training his voice classically but quickly realised this was not the genre for him, instead Aled used the classical training to his advantage when returning to musical and lyrical singing.
Now living in Berkshire Aled is involved in theatre and solo projects all over the south of England and is building a good reputation for himself through his professional approach and exceptional talent as a singer.
Currently Aled is working on a new album called ‘All Through The Night’ the vision for this album is to bring traditional welsh hymns and arias into the 21st century while remaining true to the magic of the originals. Check out the NEWS tab.
